The Boulder Adventure Lodge is looking for a stellar Front Desk Supervisor to join our team.

We are a lodge in Boulder Canyon that is focusing on Boulder’s amazing adventure sports lifestyle! We are a fun and dynamic company that puts an emphasis on sharing our passion for the outdoors with our guests and contributing positively to the Boulder community.

Applicants must have a great attitude, tireless work ethic, and passion for the hospitality industry. Experience in hotels or restaurants is preferable. Passion for outdoor adventure is a plus!

FRONT DESK SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise Front Desk Operations: Direct and oversee the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, and handling guest inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

Customer Service Excellence: Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained by all front desk staff. Provide guidance and support to resolve guest issues and complaints effectively.

Staff Training and Development: Train new front desk staff on hotel procedures, customer service expectations, and use of the hotel management system. Assist Hotel General Manager in Front Desk Associate performance evaluations and, when needed, provide constructive feedback to team members effectively.

Shift Management: Organize, delegate and support in daily work assignment and project completion. Coordinate break and lunch schedules, and manage shift changes effectively.

Safety and Security: Implement and maintain safety and security protocols at the front desk and throughout the hotel. Train staff on emergency procedures and ensure compliance with all hotel policies.

Inventory and Supplies: Monitor inventory levels of retail product, food and beverage product, office and lodging supplies. Coordinate orders and maintain adequate stock levels to meet guest and department needs.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

-Actively recreates outside exploring local access to hikes, climbs, biking, camping, and/or fishing in order to provide the best recommendations for guests

-Comes to work psyched and ready to support their team

-Greets and creates a welcoming environment for ALL guests

-Fuels the stoke for Boulder and surrounding area's outdoor recreation opportunities

-Asks open ended questions and provides thoughtful, appropriate activity recommendations for guests

-Ensures guest satisfaction by assisting guests whenever there is a need (restocking rooms, carrying bags, gear rentals, high fives)

-Operates POS system for alcohol, drink, snack and merchandise transactions

-Ensures reservation/accommodation accuracy, payment and identification information

-Communicates policies and pertinent information clearly and consistently

-Engages with the local community and organizers during events, while making sure A-Lodge guests are prioritized and taken care of

-Ensures linens and towels are cleaned and stocked for housekeeping staff

-Maintains organized work spaces and performs all daily tasks thoroughly and consistently

-Maintains top-notch cleanliness of the Lobby with a keen eye for detail and proactive cleaning measures

-Handles all late check-in procedures completely and accurately

-Opens and/or closes facilities, making sure all entrances/exits and assets are secured

-Admits when they do not know something and asks questions!

-Meets with A-Lodge Management regularly to review policies updates, procedure changes, performance and growth

REQUIREMENTS

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

2. Strong leadership and organizational abilities.

3. Time management and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

4. Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures.

5. Proven experience as a Front Desk Supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred.

6. Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Cloudbeds, FrontDesk Anywhere, etc).

7. Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or relevant field is a plus.

8. Flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary Range: $19.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Availability Requirements:

Opening Shifts (7:30AM-3:30PM)

Closing Shifts (2:00PM-10:30PM)

Swing Shifts (10am-6pm) - majority of Front Desk Supervisor shifts are swing for overlap with openers and closers.

Weekend availability required - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
