The chef's kitchen assistant is responsible for helping the chef run a smooth class, helping guests with questions, serving drinks, washing dishes and helping with prep. This position supports the chef instructor in maintaining a good flow throughout the kitchen and class. Our kitchen assistants are heavily guest facing, so our ideal candidate must be comfortable engaging with people. Our team is engaging, energetic, and reliable; great to work with and we are looking to find more of the same!

We are a continually growing recreational cooking school based in Boulder that offers its employees a fun and unique job in a great environment.
Compensation:
$16 per hour base pay plus tips (tip average increases pay to $21/hour)
Responsibilities:
Washing dishes
Class set up: very light food prep, table/cook station set up, room set up
Serving and pouring wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks
Helping the guests with questions or small needs
Maintaining overall cleanliness in the kitchen
Requirements:
The ability to work quickly and efficiently
Great people skills, with guests and our diverse staff
Reliability
Ability to work independently and with other team members
Must be 18 years or older for beverage service
The Location: Food Lab is based on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado.
We love our downtown location, as it is near other restaurants and coffee shops, easy parking and right on the bus line!
