Job Description. Duties include some, or all, of the following:
Help manage seasonal Spanish speaking H2A program
Tractor Operator: field prep, cultivation, planting, seeding
Manage field crew, Training, quality control, irrigation systems, harvest, etc.
Organic pest management
Record-keeping, planning, preparing, coordinating with other managers, supporting staff needs
Work Experience/Skills Desired:
Minimum 1 year’s experience on a vegetable farm and 3 years’ experience in farming or related field. Clean driving record and fluency in Spanish and English required. Ability to pace oneself and stay motivated, good communication and respect for others, and flexibility for changing tasks. Must be able to work long hours in all kinds of weather and be able to lift 50lb+. Must be able to commit to the full season through November.
Schedule & Compensation:
March/April - November/December, Mon-Fri plus half day Sat. $19-$22/hr DOE + staff veggies. 40-55 hours/week depending on season and farm needs, with OT pay over 40. That’s right - you get time-and-a-half pay for all hours over 40!
Benefits: Bonus pay twice during the season for all full-time, full-season staff in their second year of employment at Aspen Moon! You’ll earn 1 hour bonus pay for every 40 hours worked.
