Since 2005 Elton R Construction has been Boulder's premier remodeling contractor and we are looking for a Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team! The Lead carpenter position includes multiple responsibilities and requires a refined skill set. Our lead carpenters are expected to be able to supervise a small team of carpenters and apprentices, manage daily site activities, as well as construct and oversee, in some cases complicated carpentry. As a lead carpenter, you will be working closely with one of our Project Managers to devise a daily plan of attack, materials coordination, and ensure job site safety. About the Position Benefits:
Full Time 40 hrs/week 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday
The pay rate is DOE.
We offer health insurance after 60 days.
We also do team activities throughout the year like Dodgeball & Volleyball games and Company holiday dinner. - It's a lot more fun than it sounds in writing - promise.
Qualifications:
Vocational school training preferred but not necessary
A minimum of 7+ years of residential remodeling and/or framing experience
Must possess a firm understanding of all phases of construction
Ability to demonstrate a high level of skill
Must show strong leadership skills
Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation
Must have the ability to read and build from structural and architectural drawings
Must be an excellent problem solver
Must be able to communicate precisely and effectively
Must have own hand tools and tool bags
Must be able to delegate tasks accordingly
Proper use of company assets
Ability to utilize smartphones for two-way communication with our Operations Team
Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture
Clean DMV and valid driver's license is a must.
