We are seeking a full-time, experienced manufacturer to assist us with our ever-growing local company! This is a 9-5 M-F position with overtime opportunities. Softopper has been manufacturing soft tops for the backs of trucks and SUV's for almost 20 years. We produce a very high quality product, which is also manufactured and sewn right here in Gunbarrel, Colorado, USA! We have a small, friendly staff of 9, plus 8 or so contract sewers next door. Everybody works diligently here without needing to be micromanaged. We are growing at an alarming rate, and we need to expand our amazing team. Responsibilities will include the following (but not limited to):
-Cutting, bending, drilling, and assembling our aluminum and steel Softopper frames
-Wrapping and packing the frames into shipping boxes
-Assembling the hardware kits that get shipped with each Softopper
-Sealing and cutting fabric and vinyl windows
-Packing and shipping customer orders
-Restocking inventory as needed
-Occasionally installing the Softoppers on customers' trucks
-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. comfortably, and lift up to 20 lbs. over your head comfortably
-Must be able to stand/walk for an extended period of time and climb ladders
-Must have experience using basic hand tools, drill press, chop saws, etc.
-Must be detail oriented and able to accurately read a tape measure
-Must be able to communicate well and work closely with others in a team setting
-Generally being a team player and helping out wherever you may be needed
