Nite Ize is seeking temporary warehouse workers for our Distribution Team. This position may rotate between Production, Inventory, and Shipping departments to provide support based on the current need.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Assembles fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations.
Uses tools and equipment to assemble units according to product specifications.
Identifies units that fail to meet standards and replace or repair as necessary.
Fills customer orders using handheld scanner and pick list to prepare orders for shipment.
Obtains products from bins or shelves and ensures the completeness and accuracy of all orders filled.
Works in semi-automated pick environment and/or picking large customer orders in Pick By Item.
Reads and assembles task sheet to determine items to be picked and delivered to the Shipping, Production, or Quality department.
Sorts, transports and places materials or items on pallets, bins, or racks according to the task sheet sequence and completes scan transactions to maintain accurate inventory counts.
Uses pallet jacks and/or order carts to transport stored items within the warehouse.
Ensures shipping labels and packaging slips are correct and aligned
Wraps, ties and packages materials for safe shipping
Package and stack items to shipped on pallets
Prepare pallets to be shipped via freight
This position is temporary, estimated through June, 2020. Actual end date will be dependent on warehouse volume and could be earlier or possibly extend beyond June if the need exists.
Though this position is aimed at 40 hours/week, actual hours may vary. We are looking for individuals available to work 2nd shift: M-F, 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm.
This is a temporary position and is not eligible for benefits, sick leave, or vacation.
Requirements
High School diploma or GED.
Attention to detail, mechanically inclined.
General math and ability to use a calculator a must – addition, subtraction, multiplication. Knowledge of percentages a plus.
Basic computer knowledge required, including ability to navigate internal and external internet resources. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SmartSheet a plus.
Possess a moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job.
Ability to think creatively, be positive and be innovative.
Adapt quickly to the everchanging business requirements and be able to thrive amidst chaos.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for the 8-hour shift
Must be able to read, write and speak English - required.
