the world. Our team is excited to meet you!Job Overview & ResponsibilitiesA Propulsion Engineer 4 on the Vehicle Systems Team at ULA is responsible for:Performing strength, fatigue, and fracture analysis for propulsion systems
and components for recurring vehicle systems.
Creating analysis models, performinghand calculations, and have an
understanding of analysis best practices to provide strength inputs and
recommendations for new designs and installations.
Reviewing and approving3-D engineering layouts, 3-D models, designs /
drawings, and 2-D drawing changes for a variety of mechanical system
components
Makingengineering design recommendations with consideration of thermal,
mechanical, and pressure loading using appropriate material properties,
configurations, safety factors, etc.
Supporting internal peer reviews, tabletopreviews, and formal design
reviews as needed.
Supporting fast paced design/analysis cycles and be able to evaluate
hardware non-conformances to support production activities.
Participatingin internal/external design reviews, technical interchange
meetings (TIMs), and may be expected to present analysis products at
preliminary/critical design reviews (PDR/CDR).Required Education
BachelorRequired Years of Experience
Minimum of 6 years of related work experienceBasic QualificationsA bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from an
accredited college or university is required.
Experience in the following Finite Element Analysis tools:
FEMAP
NX Nastran
NASGRO
Attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced development
environment.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with:
Fluids and thermodynamics design and analysis
Structural design
Dynamics analysis
Proficiency with mechanical design utilizing NX and Team Center.
Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team
Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $125,750.00 - $196,522.00Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline
only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications,
as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees
