We are a rapidly growing CPA firm that specializes in all things tax along with small business accounting and IRS problem solving. We have an immediate need for a full-time permanent well-rounded tax preparer/accountant. This is not a remote work position.
Responsibilities:
Candidate must be experienced in preparing complex individual and business tax returns that include quarterly payment projections. Candidate should also be experienced in analyzing returns for tax planning opportunities and potential risk issues.
Must be a proficient QuickBooks user with general ledger accounting, payroll and sales tax experience.
Must possess a professional attitude and work ethic with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidate must have high-end capabilities in written and verbal communication with clients and co-workers and be capable of interviewing and on boarding potential new clients.
Must have an attitude of life-long learning with the goal to grow technically, professionally and financially.
Requirements:
Accounting degree required. CPA or EA credential with PTIN number required.
At least 5 years of tax season experience.
Proficiency with computers including the Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks and Adobe PDF. Experience with CCH ProSystem/Axcess tax software preferred.
Must be willing to work extended hours during tax season with some Fridays off during off peak times.
