Who are we? We are Opportunity In Living and we provide residential support to adults with developmental disabilities. This job opening is for someone who would love to assist a client who lives in their own apartment. This is more than a job, it is an opportunity to help/contribute to the community.
Direct support staff is responsible for the following:
Schedule, transport and assist with all appointments.
(medical, dental, therapy and/or psychiatric appointments.)
Complete medication administration on a daily or weekly basis depending on individual’s needs & fill med reminder box.Complete medical documentation paperwork.
Assist the client with grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, laundry, cleaning of apartment, and all medication refills.
Provide support and encouragement for client regarding daily hygiene tasks.
Assist the client with accessing their community and increase
participation in social activities.
Complete all required paperwork.
Attend all required trainings and monthly in office monitoring.
All candidates must be able to pass a background check and pass a drug test. It is preferred that they be current CPR certified, current QMAP certified, current Med administration certified, but if not, we can help with that. They do have to have a valid CO Driver's License with reliable transportation that is currently insured.
AUTO MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT IN ADDITION TO AN HOURLY RATE.
