Description Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that offers an invigorating work environment among a team of motivated professionals. The candidate's responsibilities in this role include attending to the general needs of the AP/Finance Department, while working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Denver, Colorado area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position. The position is a hybrid role and will work four days remote and one day in-office.Your responsibilities
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Operate full-cycle A/P
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Provide support during internal and external audits
Requirements - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Microsoft Excel experience
Knowledge of numeric data entry
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
