As a Database Engineer specializing in GIS, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing geospatial applications and backend databases. Your contributions will directly support critical projects, helping shape the future of geospatial data management. Salary: $80,000 Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) in a related field such as Computer Science, Geography, Geospatial Science, with 4-6 years of experience in software engineering or a related area with a focus on GIS technologies.
Proficient in software tools such as ESRI, ArcGIS Portal, and ArcSDE.
Strong experience utilizing programming languages such as Python, ArcPy, and ArcGIS API for Python for GIS applications.
Solid understanding of SDE Versioning and its role in geospatial data management.
Experience with ETL processes to facilitate smooth data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Preferred but not required:
Experience with GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows.
Familiarity with AWS for cloud-based solutions and geospatial data storage.
Experience with C# and Visual Studio in developing and maintaining GIS-based software applications.
