Compensation: This position falls under the City of Denver Prevailing Wage Law. The base rate is $44.56/hour, however other rates may apply depending on job assignment within the scope of the job description.General Summary:Install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. Responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
Assisting with customers' queries.

High school diploma or GED certificate
1+ year experience as an HVAC technician
Skills and Abilities:
Understand the advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
Working knowledge of boiler systems.
Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
Operate appropriate lifts and maintain certifications.
Understand and use sustainable products.
Provide customer service in a professional considerate manner.
Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics and work plans.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Perform role and job tasks effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities.
Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization; must work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills among all levels of staff and clientele.
