Mountain West Dirt Works is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Snow Removal teams for the upcoming winter season. This role involves working on-call in response to snow events, providing essential snow and ice removal services to a diverse range of clients across the Front Range. The position requires a commitment to working during adverse weather conditions, often during overnight or early morning hours, ensuring that sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and building entrances are safely cleared and treated.
Primary Responsibilities:
Clear snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and building entrances.
Apply ice melt or salt to ensure safe passage.
Work as part of a team, typically consisting of 2 or more members.
Operate equipment as required (for qualified roles).
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure quality standards are met.
Compensation:
Entry-Level Crew Member: $20 - $25/hr
No prior experience required. Ideal for those new to the industry or looking to gain snow removal experience.
Mid-Level Crew Member: $26 - $35/hr
Requires at least 1-3 years of snow removal experience or related heavy equipment operation experience. Candidates with basic leadership skills or who can operate multiple types of equipment may qualify.
Experienced Snow Operator/Team Leader: $36 - $45/hr
Reserved for candidates with over 3 years of dedicated snow removal experience, leadership experience, or expertise in operating advanced equipment like loaders, motor graders, or large plow trucks.
Note on Pay Scale: Prior snow removal experience can significantly impact your starting pay. Candidates with substantial experience in snow removal, particularly in leadership roles or advanced equipment operation, will be eligible for the top of the pay scale.
Shift Details:
Most shifts are from 3 pm-8 pm and 2 am-9 am, with additional hours as needed based on weather conditions. We work with your availability, no need to be available for ALL shifts.
Servicing Large Industrial Facilities:
We specialize in snow removal for large facilities with trace triggers. This means as soon as the snow starts falling, we start working—no waiting for inches to accumulate!
