Customer Service Professional position requiring creativity, empathy, people skills and a strong desire to assist customers. Provide prompt claim investigation, evaluation and settlement or denial of claims with minor to severe exposures. Provide empathy and understanding and explain policy coverages and claims processes to customers. Authorize payments in accordance with assigned authority limit. Document claim files with all pertinent information and disposition. Report daily to department manager.
Job Description:
As a Claims Representative, you will ensure the delivery of quality claim services to our clients, and other parties to a claim by:
Conducting coverage investigations and confirming coverage exists
Investigating and gathering information about claims by contacting all parties involved
Documenting all decisions, correspondences, reports, and discussions
Review and interpret detailed documents including all contracts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Excellent customer service skills with effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to actively listen to customer concerns and ask clarifying questions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and diagnose claim issues.
Proven customer relationship and conflict resolution skills
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Positive emotional resilience. In an environment where you will be faced with challenging calls daily, you must
have the ability to rise past them while maintaining an optimistic attitude.
Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
3+ years of claims representative related work experience required.
Computer and math skills beneficial
Knowledge of contract coverage, claim payment procedures and familiarity with the automotive industry.
