This role is pivotal in ensuring our global data network operates seamlessly, providing top-notch performance and availability.As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting LAN, WAN, Cloud, and VoIP infrastructures. Your role will involve providing high-level technical support, creating and maintaining network documentation, and working on projects to upgrade communication equipment and procedures. Your expertise in multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, and network security will be crucial. Additionally, you'll lead projects, mentor teams, and ensure smooth operations across all locations.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Direction: Provide recommendations on the strategic direction for network and telecommunications functions.Problem Resolution: Ensure problem identification, isolation, and resolution within service level objectives for routers, switches, SD WAN appliances, load balancers, firewalls, VPN, wireless, and associated network equipment.Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement network and telecommunication services for new business offices and upgrades to existing offices.Support and Training: Provide network/telecom support and training for end users, other ITS technical groups, and implementation teams.Vendor Management: Oversee activities of network/telecom vendors to ensure established service level agreements are met.Documentation and Monitoring: Ensure the creation and maintenance of technical and training documentation, monitor network and telecom infrastructure, and report on performance statistics.Research and Analysis: Perform analysis and research of new technologies/solutions and apply professional business and technical knowledge to identify options, analyze, design, install, maintain, and test information technology solutions specific to network/telecom requirements.Client Service: Provide quality client service, being proactive and responsive to client needs.On-Call Duties: Share on-call duties for the global network, sites, and services.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Experience: Minimum 7 years of in-depth experience with Cisco/Meraki routers and switches, wireless, SD WAN, firewalls, and load balancers.Skills: Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a strong team of technically diverse personnel. In-depth knowledge of local, wide area, and cloud network concepts, designs, and implementations. Strong understanding of network security, issues, and risks, and the ability to implement hardware and software solutions to minimize risk. Ability to work in diverse teams with demonstrated troubleshooting skills.Preferred Certifications:Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.Benefits:We offer competitive total reward packages, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.
