Vintage Car Works is a high end restoration shop in Centennial Colorado. We have been growing and currently have more than a three-year backlog of work in-house. As a result, we have an immediate need for additional staff in our paint department.
The successful applicant should have at least three years experience working in a collision shop where you have been preparing cars for paint, and are now ready to take the next step toward becoming a full time painter. Must be detail oriented and proficient in priming and block sanding. You will also be masking and preparing parts and cars to be painted. Attention to detail is critical for your success. Any restoration experience is a plus, but not mandatory. We will train the successful candidate as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for the detail oriented technician who is tired of working in the collision industry where most insurance companies continue to reduce the time and pay needed to properly do your job.
The applicant should be proficient in performing the following tasks:
1. Cleaning and preparing cars for the application of primer.
2. Efficiently masking and preparing cars for paint.
3. Spraying epoxy and acrylic urethane primers.
4. Familiarity with the application of plastic filler and block sanding small dings / dents.
5. Spraying base coat / clear coat paint systems.
6. Wet sanding and polishing.
