We have a rare opening for a lead painter at StormWise | Auto Body Shop, as we just parted ways with our long term painter. We need someone who takes pride in their work, is motivated to turn hours and earn a ton of money, and who is excited to grow with a busy shop. We have more hail cars than we can handle with all the storms in Denver so it's really like a feast over here. We are booked out 2 months and have turned off our marketing efforts just so we can get through the current demand.
Started in 2010 by a husband and wife combo who envisioned a better way to do auto hail repair, StormWise has experienced 5x growth in 2023 and is positioned to continue expanding for several years to come. We shoot Sikkens line paint, the paint match is beautiful, and you have caring owners who will make sure you're taken care of. We have wonderful people who work for us, and want to add to our High-Producing, yet Easy-to-Work with existing staff.
Our hail cars feed our Auto Body Shop, and due to our spectacular marketing team and tons of 5-star reviews, there will be no shortage of work any time soon. We are already booked out 3 months and that has stayed steady since opening the doors on this newly-renovated shop.

EARNING POTENTIAL:
Pay rate is dependent on experience, but we're not afraid to pay big money for a seasoned vet. New painters will come in lower. Flag hours, therefor fast and hardworking painters earn the most. 100 hours every week worth of business in front of you if you can get through it with a prepper and a polisher. We are also open to bringing on another prepper to increase efficiency if you have someone you'd like to bring with you.
We do easy express jobs for hail and minor collision repair (think new hoods, rails, roof replacements). Starting at $24/hour or more shows we are SERIOUS about wanting the best. Reviews at 30/60/90 days to earn raises, and longevity bonuses at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year.
Paid Time off accumulates at an aggressive rate (we believe in the importance of taking time off for family and personal reasons). NO WEEKEND WORK REQUIRED unless the painter simply 'wants' to come in to finish things off so they can be paid out.

Again and we have PLENTY of roof replacements, hoods, roof rails from hail to ensure a good painter can be busy, happy, and make great money.
Duties:
Lead Painter roles in a front to back booth (no bake cycle, but we do have heat lights that work)
Inspect areas to be painted for repair, prepping and/or buffing defects
Keep work area and shop clean, all materials on shelves and not on floor
Remain mindful of materials cost & waste, but we will always do what is necessary to produce an excellent repair product for our customers
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

Requirements:
Auto Body Painting experience - 5 years minimum, AkzoNobel experience preferred
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Must be a team player and have a GREAT attitude and be focused on his work in front of him rather that worrying about everything else.
Maintain a valid driver’s license
Excellent communication and customer service skills, as painters do at times have to communicate with customers or insurance adjusters to explain repair needs
Be a team player who works well with others, as well as a leader in the shop
Be detail-oriented and take pride in one’s work

Salary: Flag hours, likely income to exceed $120,000 per year. Starts at $24/hour with a guarantee starting out based on work history
