Description Position Overview:The Housing Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the organization's affordable housing initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating various aspects of affordable housing programs, ensuring effective communication between stakeholders, and assisting individuals and families in securing and maintaining stable housing. The Housing Coordinator will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and community resources to enhance the impact of our housing programs.Key Responsibilities:Client Assistance:
Conduct intake interviews to assess the housing needs of individuals and families seeking affordable housing.
Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the housing application process.
Assist clients in understanding eligibility criteria for affordable housing programs.
Program Coordination:
Collaborate with property management teams to oversee the allocation and management of affordable housing units.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of housing applications, approvals, and lease agreements.
Coordinate with external agencies and partners to streamline housing-related services.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with relevant affordable housing regulations and guidelines.
Prepare and submit timely reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience in affordable housing coordination is highly desired.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of housing regulations and affordable housing programs.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus!
