I am looking for a Live-In Caregiver for my Dad who is a wheelchair bound
Disabled Veteran.
Pay would start at $2,000/mo and would increase over the first few months (depending on experience/ training).
PLUS Free Rent in a 2 story home in west Greeley with plenty of privacy (caregiver would have their own level and entrance).
This is a great opportunity for someone with direct care experience OR a potential caregiver who has a heart to work with the disabled.
Experience preferred but not required.
About my Dad:
He is a 68 year old Disabled Veteran who is wheelchair bound.
He has been through many challenges in the last few years including surviving an abuse/neglect situation that nearly killed him and most recently a difficult prolonged stay in a nursing home after fleeing that situation.
With the help of his family he is now ready to move on with his life, get out of the nursing home and back into his own home.
Finding a reliable compassionate Caregiver is the next piece of the puzzle.
Could you or someone you know be the person we are looking for?
Must have valid Driver's License
Must be able to pass a Background check
CPR and First Aide Certified (or in process)
Client-specific training will be paid and provided
Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities:
Help my Dad with Activities of Daily Living such as Dressing, Transferring into his wheelchair with use of a mechanical lift,
Meal preparation/ help with feeding,
Personal Cleaning,
Basic house maintenance,
Going for walks, going to restaurants and other activities as needed for general health and wellness.
The person who fits this situation will live Rent-free in addition to monetary compensation.
The right Caregiver will enjoy plenty of privacy in a spacious home in west Greeley within minutes of shopping, restaurants, schools, parks and a gym.
Caregiver will have respite most days of the week provided and down time and any supplies they need.
We expect that this situation will be a blessing to the right Caregiver as much as to my Dad.
Kind, compassionate, ability to think logically, communicate and learn new things is a must.
Must be drug-free and drama free, please do not waste our time. I will consider all sincere and reasonable inquiries. No agencies pls.
