General outline of areas of responsibility
1. Production: Producing sheet metal fittings for the field staff and outside customers
2. Purchasing - Ensuring warehouse staff is purchasing appropriate commodities and materials for assigned jobs
3. Receiving - Ensuring all inventory is staged and ready for jobs
4. Fleet - Helping fleet manager ensure all vehicles are inspected, stocked and outfitted
5. Facilities - Ensuring staff is maintaining the MGI facility
General Duties
1. Developing a Warehouse Manager plan for the year matching the business plan.
2. Developing yearly/quarterly goals matching the company business plan for the quarter.
3. Preparing quarterly projects defining the work priorities to achieve those deadlines.
4. Participating in a daily huddle, weekly Warehouse Manager review, and where invited various meetings to update our management team.
5. Defining KPI’s for the Warehouse Manager functions and reporting weekly/monthly as requested. (Successware21)
6. All daily Warehouse Manager transactions into software, to produce timely, accurate, inventory and warehouse reports.
7. Maintain proper stock on all vehicles. Utilize daily replenishment as a model.
8. Ensure all sheet metal fittings and production materials are ready and on time
9. Maintain materials costs to the desired KPI – all departments (see KPI’s)
10. Negotiate with vendor all parts prices and consignment
11. Maintain a proper return goods and credits system – to be collected and accurate within the current month for cash flow and accountability.
12. Establish a Min-Max Quantities for each catalogue number in company inventory.
13. Correct seasonal stock indicators – min max quantities. Adjust seasonally.
14. All vendor orders and PO’s being kept accurate and up to date.
15. Communication with all Vendors on accuracy of purchase orders.
16. Manage the Fleet maintenance systems – logs-proper timing/oil changes etc.
17. Produce and distribute all sheet metal shop products used by the Company
18. Keep proper levels of dedicated shop inventory for use
19. Develop clientele outside of MGI for additional revenue stream
20. Maintain all sheet metal shop equipment for proper longevity.
Fleet
21. Check employees in and out of Company vehicles
22. Ensure Company vehicles are stocked with the proper tools and resources
23. Keep a checklist of all tools that are on each truck.
24. Help office with insurance and registration distribution
