Description Location: UCHealth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:PuebloDepartment: Patient AccessFTE: Part Time, 0.5, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)Shift: Days Pay: $15.30 - $22.53 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceAt UCHealth, We Improve LivesPAS:The Patient Access Specialist role performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with registering patient for services.Responsibilities:

Meets with patient and/or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides explanation of visit, instructions, and addresses concerns and questions.

Communicates with referring provider's office, clinical department(s), and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and determine schedule.

Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary.

Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up. Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Your Impact at SAM As a Damage Prevention Field Technician, you will be on the front lines of ensuring public safety and protecting critical underground infrastructure. This hands-on role requires frequent interaction with contractors, homeowners, and utility providers, ensuring that all excavation activities comply with industry standards and the 811 dig law.
