Looking for a local person that lives in Georgetown, Silver Plume, or Idaho Springs areas to work as a property manager for a brand new boutique hotel in Georgetown historic district called St James Hotel.
The person would do the following :
1. purchase and deliver breakfast items and/or bake some items for all hotel guests. Right now we leave the breakfast items out and in the room for guests, however we could change to setting out a display from 7-10AM each morning. Only if that makes sense.
2. Take inventory of linens, toiletries, etc. and re-order supplies as needed.
3. Clean all rooms upon check-out and launder the linens. There are 2 sets of washer/dryers on site, and excess linens to make it easier.
4. Manager will use the reservation system to manage reservations - take phone calls for the hotel - cell phone included, check hotel emails and respond and deliver remote check-in information to guests prior to check-in time.
5. General cleaning, decorating, organizing will also be included, watering plants, minor maintenance items if the person is capable. Still needing to decorate the commons areas with antiques and design some artwork, we could set up a gift shop and a mini bar in the coming months for guests as well, so more hours will be needed however if the manager only wants to work 12 hours/week that is fine and if only 10-2 on those days, that is fine too. We can be flexible and hire someone else if needed or a cleaning service.
6. Customer Service: Must have a friendly, can do attitude and talk to guests. Local knowledge of the area and history is helpful.
At this point the current owner is working about 4 hours every other day and the new manager will do the same until we get busier. Pay is hourly at $30/hour. Owner is also available and will be onsite for training and many additional small projects that are needed around the place.
