Left Bank Restaurant is Seeking a Professional Host/Hostess!

Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere from the moment they enter the restaurant.
- Manage the flow of guests, effectively seating them in a timely and organized manner, while adhering to reservation and seating availability guidelines.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant layout, table numbers, and seating arrangements to efficiently accommodate guest preferences and requests.
- Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage guest expectations during peak hours.
- Assist guests with coat check services, ensuring their belongings are securely stored and retrieved upon departure.
- Answer guest inquiries and provide general information about the restaurant, menu offerings, and special promotions.
- Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and other staff members to ensure smooth communication and efficient service.
- Coordinate with management and servers to handle special seating arrangements for large parties or VIP guests.
- Manage reservations, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations in the reservation system.
- Maintain a clean and organized station
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer-facing role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to warmly greet and engage guests in a professional manner. Proficiency in English speaking is required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate seating and reservation management.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during busy periods while providing excellent customer service.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using reservation management software is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Hours/Compensation:
- Approximately 25 to 30 hours per week (generally 4:30pm to 9:30 pm, Tuesday - Saturday)
- $15/hour hourly wage plus tip share (average hourly wage with tip share included is generally between $23-35 per hour, sometimes more, depending on tips)
