Status: Hourly @$22/hr & $0.20/transaction commission with a raise to $23/hr & $0.40/transaction commission after six months

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Manager to support day-to-day operations at our neighborhood liquor store. This role is ideal for someone who values community, takes pride in providing outstanding customer service, and is ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced retail environment. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth store operations, maintain high service standards, and support team development.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties
Provide friendly, informed, and consistent customer service
Assist with training and mentoring new and existing team members
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and receive deliveries
Maintain organized, well-stocked shelves and attractive displays
Support compliance with all local and state liquor laws, including ID verification and responsible alcohol sales
Address customer concerns professionally and promptly
Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment
Maintaining the liquor store's social media sites
Assist the General Manager with staff scheduling, reporting, and operational updates
Qualifications:
Previous retail or customer service experience required; supervisory experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead by example and promote a positive team atmosphere
Must be 21 years of age or older
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks related to stocking and store maintenance
