Co-Lead Cook: This position is full-time, full-year, working 35 hours a week, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The hourly wage range is $16.55 to $18.46, depending on education and experience.
In coordination with the other Co-Lead Cook, this position will be responsible for the following:
Know and follow the requirements of the Child/Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) documentation.
Order and purchase food weekly and related supplies as needed to comply with CACFP requirements.
Prepare age-appropriate, attractive meals in quantities according to the menu plan and the number of persons to be served.
Deliver meals to eating areas promptly according to an annual agreement with CACFP.
Maintain a safe work environment and consistently practice all Health and Safety procedures.
Complete Kitchen Health and Safety paperwork in ChildPlus, including temperature logs, equipment calibration, and cleaning tasks.
Support regular kitchen inspections performed by the Health and Safety Manager, both announced and unannounced.
Support family-style preparation, serving, and dining.
Provide support in the classrooms when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: High School/GED and Food Handler’s certification. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience. Experience in food storage and purchasing and sanitation preferred. Formal education in nutrition and health is preferred. Complete and maintain Food Handlers certification. Must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Criminal background check required for hire.
