Job Summary

Stone House Lodge and RV is located in Los Ojos, NM and consists of a restaurant/bar, cabins, RV spots and campsites. We are open year round with guests enjoying seasonal activities such as fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and cross country skiing.
We are seeking a passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our restaurant/bar operations.
The ideal candidate will have a taste for New Mexican cuisine and can be creative with utilizing fresh grown vegetables to creating inexpensive and unique menu items.
As the lead Cook, you will be responsible for creating weekly food and drink specials and upselling items in abundance when appropriate. You will be responsible for insuring all meals are delivered with consistency and quality.
The perfect candidate will enjoy getting to know our repeat customers and delivering meals that exceed their expectations to insure they keep coming back.
Due to the limited rental options in the area, the Cook will likely need to live onsite. Ideally, the Cook will have a camper or RV to live in. Alternatively, accommodations can be provided as part of the compensation package.
Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
Provide meal and service for events - catered and in house
Mange front and back of house
Work with management to add backup servers, prep, dishwasher when needed
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
Create and upsell Weekly Specials - food, drink and dessert.
Manage monthly event calendar - football, bingo, Saturday night music
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, restaurant, restrooms, coolers, pantry
insuring all meals are delivered with consistency and quality.
Following Opening/Closing Checklists.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook in a sit-down dining environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Team player and be willing to step in to help out in other areas when needed.
