The Facility Cook is responsible for the preparation of food for MCCA's Sharon and Kent Residential Programs. This involves preparation supervision and cleanup of meals on assigned shifts as prescribed by the approved menus or as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor or Program Director.
Major Responsibilities
1) Maintenance of a clean, sanitary environment for food storage, preparation and dining
2) Preparation and service of breakfast lunch and dinner during assigned work hours
3) Maintenance of consistent food quality
4) Storage of all food, supplies and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
5) Daily upkeep of the kitchen and dining area
6) Maintenance of equipment in clean and working order
7) Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma
Valid status as a Qualified Food Manager / Certified Food Handler
Specialized cooking training and/or the equivalent of two years of experience in a similar environment
