Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Washington, District of Columbia. As an integral part of our team, you will be involved in various accounting tasks in a bustling setting. The role involves substantial use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel to manage accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, billing, and data entry.Responsibilities: Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable in an accurate and timely manner Handle account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Oversee invoice processing and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks Execute billing procedures, ensuring accuracy of billing data and timely issuance of bills Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status Handle budget coding and expense reports efficiently and accurately Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting tasks Support the processing of customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation processes. Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). Experience in billing and invoice processing. Strong data entry skills. Proficient use of Microsoft Excel for financial data management. Knowledge of Oracle for business process management. Experience with QuickBooks for financial reporting and accounting. Familiarity with SAP for business operations and customer relations. Ability to maintain financial confidentiality and conduct business with professionalism and integrity. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Good organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. Relevant certification (such as CPA) is a plus.
