The Enterprise Architect is responsible for ensuring that AmeriCorps’ overall IT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality. The primary role of the Enterprise Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data, and technology perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards.At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on an Enterprise Architect joining our team to help AmeriCorps to facilitate volunteers and service organizations around the country by identifying, evaluating, and architecting new technology solutions, primarily Azure-based cloud and AI software initiatives.HOW AN ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Serves as key technical expert in an area of expertise or across multiple areas, providing strategic consulting to AmeriCorps

Work with the infrastructure and architecture team to ensure that new technologies work with existing infrastructure

Introduce new and exciting technologies to a customer that is ready to implement change

Focus on maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure and information systems to both create and implement AmeriCorps’ technology strategy and vision

Work closely with the CyberSecurity Lead to secure the network and eliminate vulnerabilities

Database technologies and architectures

Proficient in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

Strong understanding of cloud computing, network architecture, and security.

Excellent project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Expertise in modular design patterns, services-based architecture, coupling and cohesion principles, and application of these concepts to systems modernization leveraging emerging technologies.

Ability to conduct Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs) and provide recommendations on business and technical feasibility of existing systems enhancements and new systems build vs buy decisions.

Align technology solutions design and architecture to business needs around process standardization and integration.

Conduct Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) reviews and build enterprise level technical standards and frameworks.

Understanding of Architecture models like DoDAF, FEA, Zachman, and TOGAF

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match. GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
