Job DescriptionOracle Global Trade Compliance team is seeking experienced Customs Compliance Specialist serving as focal point for Customs compliance oversight of Oracle declarations in Canada, and back-up support for United States, Puerto Rico, and European Union. In this role, you will utilize your skills in interpreting customs regulations to assess applicability and impact to Oracle to drive necessary controls to ensure compliance with requirements. High level experience in harmonized tariff classification with local ruling review, for Canada, United States and Puerto Rico including Partner Government Agency determination and anti-dumping/countervailing duty applicability of computer, network and other hi-tech products. The ideal candidate will bring experience in all aspects of US Duty Drawback and Sec 301 product exemption review.Career Level - IC3ResponsibilitiesRole and Responsibilities include:

Analyzing/resolving complex customs compliance issues to make recommendations for compliant, practical solutions to management/internal business partners.

High level experience in harmonized tariff classification with local ruling review Canada and United States for Oracle’s computer, network and other hi-tech products.

Partner Government Agency determination and anti-dumping/countervailing duty applicability of computer, network and other hi-tech products

Respond to all compliance inquiries from appointed import/export agents and customs brokers for assigned countries and regions.

Carry out sample audits on appointed import/export agents and customs brokers and manage remediation with customs brokers.

Perform monthly HS audit on Oracle customs declarations globally.

Gather/analyze data for proper submission of claims for US Duty Drawback program.

Assist with continued automation development and record keeping for US Duty Drawback program.

Evaluation of Sec 301 product exemptions.

Evaluation of assists associated with Oracle’s imported product.

Support risk assessments from changes in business distribution model, manufacturing models, importer structure, and acquisitions.

Pursues continuous process efficiencies, automation opportunities and documenting compliance procedures.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in all aspects of US Duty Drawback and Sec 301 product exemption review.

Skills in interpreting customs regulations to assess applicability and impact to Oracle to drive necessary controls to ensure compliance with requirements.

Experience analyzing/resolving complex customs compliance issues to make recommendations for compliant, practical solutions and corrective action to management/ internal business partners in specified countries and regions.

You have demonstrated a high level of experience in Harmonized Tariff Classification codes via comparison to local rulings for Canada, and United States, Puerto Rico.

Experience with determination of Partner Government Agency and anti-dumping/countervailing duty requirements for computer, network, and other Hi-Tech products for import and export purposes.

Demonstrated experience in performing customs declaration auditing and customs broker remediation.

Experience in evaluation of assists associated for imported product.

Proven ability to meet deadlines.

Experience working in a multinational company with a global remote cross-functional team.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Associate Degree and/or 3-5+ years of Customs compliance work experience.

Preferred experience using Oracle ERP and Oracle Global Trade Management systems.

Ability to travel up to 25% within US, when required.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
