Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Executive Assistant in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia. The role primarily involves supporting the office of the President in an industry that heavily relies on organization and effective communication. The ideal candidate will be adept at calendar management, handling office supplies, managing expenses, and sorting correspondence among other tasks. Responsibilities: Manage the President's schedule, ensuring efficient time management and coordination of appointments. Oversee the operations of the President's office, ensuring smooth running of daily tasks. Handle the President's email inbox and phone, sorting and directing communications as required. Ensure adequate office supplies are available, placing purchase orders as necessary. Manage expenses, ensuring accurate records and timely processing. Execute the office manager duties such as scanning and sorting mail, ensuring all correspondence is attended to. Utilize skills in Microsoft Office Suites, CRM, and Concur for efficient office management. Facilitate seamless communication between different departments. Handle changes in meeting schedules and appointments proactively. Support travel scheduling, ensuring all arrangements are made in a timely manner. Requirements Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook Experience in using Concur and Concur Expense is desirable Familiarity with CRM systems is required Should be able to manage and maintain schedules using 'About Time' software Capable of effectively managing and scheduling appointments Experience in handling correspondence and documentation tasks Must be comfortable in a C-Suite environment and able to manage daily schedules Ability to manage changes in schedule and efficiently schedule meetings Experience in managing travel schedules and supporting overall schedule management Prior experience as an Executive Assistant is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of discretion and confidentiality Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure Should possess a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.   • Summary This position is located in the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation\'s (PBGC), Office of the Director (OD). More than one selection may be made from this vacancy announcement. This is a temporary not to exceed 1 year position that may be extended in increments of up to one year, but not exceed three years; may become permanent without further competition. Responsibilities The candidate selected for this position will: Provide advice in developing and implementing critical studies, programs, projects, and other comparable initiatives impacting PBGC. Oversee and accomplish all human capital initiatives and other initiatives in collaboration with the Human Resources Department (HRD) and other departments throughout PBGC associated with the Office of the Director (OD). Arrange appropriate high-level meetings and briefings between key program officials and Congressional offices including setting up congressional testimony and other critical meetings associated with termination of pension plans throughout the United States. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the announcement closing date. To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications and/or education for the grade at which you are requesting consideration. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the private sector serving in a confidential capacity to an organizational executive performing functions including human capital, budget, and long-range policy impacting projects and initiatives. Examples include: planning, budgeting, administering, and directing programs, projects and critical initiatives. Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service). This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50. Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position.
