You will maintain and deconflict schedules and calendars, facilitate meetings, escort guests, and manage correspondence. You will also assist in resolving complex acquisition, production, and in-service challenges faced by the PEO and its two program offices. Work with the PEO and program office personnel to develop PEO briefings, point papers, and action item responses. The Program Executive Officer for Aircraft Carriers is tasked with supporting the design, development, construction, modernization, and life cycle management of Aircraft Carriers for the US Navy.Responsibilities:

Provide specialized program management support to include assisting in developing briefing, action item responses, point papers on a variety of topics within PEO Aircraft Carriers.

Prepare, revise, and route official correspondence, coordinate travel details for Admiral in the Defense Travel System (DTS), manage meetings, coordinate and reserve conference rooms, take meeting minutes, create Executive Summary Memorandums for PEO correspondence as necessary.

Order office supplies, prepare visit requests, track yearly Fitreps for all assigned military personnel, and ensure awards and plaques are completed for individuals leaving the command.

Qualifications:Required:

Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience supporting Flag Officers/Senior executives.

Active DOD Security Clearance.

Prior Navy Executive Officers support/Navy Staff experience.

Flag Aide/Flag Writer

US Navy correspondence and protocol.

  • Summary This position is located in the Division of Communications and Special Events, National Mall and Memorial Parks, National Capital Region, National Park Service, Washington, D.C., and reports to the Supervisory Events Specialist. Assures that the interests and safety of public are met, while protecting park resources and meeting federal legal responsibilities. Responsibilities This is a term position (more than 1 year) with an initial appointment expecting to last at least 13 months but may be extended up to a total of four years, or more based on any changes to regulations governing the number of years term appointments may last, without further competition. Term positions do not convey permanent status in the Federal service. The National Park Service retains the right to extend the duration of this appointment after selection and/or appointment, based on changes to the regulation governing the number of years term appointments may last. This change, which may be made at the agency\'s sole discretion and without further competition, shall not be construed or interpreted as the granting of a right to a selectee or employee to such an extension.
