Summary This position is located in Rock Creek Park, in the Division of Maintenance. The incumbent of the position is in the internship program. Responsibilities The major duties of the STUDENT TRAINEE (Maintenance Worker) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs minor and/or rough carpentry repairs using simple measures and hand tools. Performs minor painting tasks using brushes and/or rollers. Performs minor plumbing repairs. Assists higher graded Maintenance Workers or tradesmen in the performance of their work. Performs simple and routine maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, equipment, and related utilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship required. Reviews and evaluates proposed legislation, regulations and policies to analyze their effect on existing laws and regulations and on Division/Bureau programs, policies, regulations and overall operations. Identifies facts, applies analysis, develops policy, and prepares rule making orders and decisions assuring that documents adhere to Division/Bureau/Commission policy while evaluating objectives and clearly identifying all available options.
