Description We are seeking a Paralegal to join our team in the legal industry, based in Washington, District of Columbia. The role involves legal research, managing client documents, assisting with filings and memos, and performing administrative duties within a law firm setting. Responsibilities: Conduct legal research on state regulatory rules to assist attorneys. Manage both hard copy and electronic client documents to ensure organization and easy access. Assist attorneys with the preparation and completion of filings and memos requesting client information. Order and review public records searches, including internet searches and corporate filings, to provide thorough and accurate information. Review, edit, and assist with the completion of licensing requirements and financial forms to ensure compliance. Perform administrative duties such as calendaring filing deadlines to keep the team organized and on schedule. Conduct basic legal research on Westlaw and Lexis to support case preparation and strategy. Perform any other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the law firm. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in law or a related field. Minimum of five years of experience as a paralegal, preferably within the corporate law sector. Comprehensive knowledge of corporate law principles and practices. Proficiency in using legal research software. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities. Advanced oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
