We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our team! The People Operations Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the smooth operation of the People Operations function. This role works closely with the Director of Human Resources to ensure smooth operations in areas such as recruitment, on-boarding/off-boarding, benefits and compliance. Who Are We? Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Facilitate the onboarding process, including the distribution of onboarding packets and ensuring the completion of compliance-related documents.
Prepares new employee files and files documents as appropriate.
Submits online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks.
Review resume submissions for alignment with job requirements, maintain the applicant tracking system, progress candidates through the hiring process, and schedule interviews.
Draft general HR communications for review by the Director, People Operations.
Monitor the HR email and respond to general HR inquiries or escalate them to the Director of Human Resources, as appropriate.
Adheres to administrative deadlines and is responsive to accounting and other administrative staff when called upon to provide information.
Conducts audits of personnel files, benefits and other HR programs.
Administers healthcare plans to include enrollments, changes and terminations and reconciles benefits statements.
Ensures expense reports are completed accurately and submitted timely.
Assist with and organize employee recognition programs and events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirement
2+ years of experience working in Human Resources (internships or administrative support roles are acceptable).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Google Apps.
Relevant project management experience required, along with demonstrated ability to manage others.
Experience working in G Suite and Mac environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Office Hours
This position is based in Washington, DC, this position requires on-site presence to coordinate employee engagement efforts effectively. We work on a hybrid basis with many team members working entirely from home. Office hours are consistently 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Expected work hours for the role are 20-30 hours per week, not to exceed 30 hours with an understanding that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
