Description:

Global Marketing has an open position for a Privacy Risk Analyst role to ensure the successful development and maintenance of privacy policies and procedures, motivate program compliance across global marketing, support and guide the marketing community in privacy needs and monitor and respond to the evolving privacy landscape. To these ends, supporting the development of a self-service privacy ticketing and resource center will be a primary initiative. This individual is expected to be a key participant and influencer in the development of a Data Privacy Risk function within marketing andin collaboration with other Global Business Units.
This role will be expected to collaborate with key groups within marketing including Data Science, Data Infrastructure and Global Market Campaign teams.the collaboration will include Global Privacy and multiple Global Business Units, e.g., Print, Personal Systems, etc. The candidate must be an excellent communicator and influencer, be able to interact with a wide range of groups and leaders and persuade through thoughtful analysis with an ability to translate business and technical requirements into robust capabilities and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and manage a privacy resource center within Global Marketing
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all business sectors to ensure data protection and privacy compliance and oversight of periodic information privacy risk assessments/analysis, mitigation and remediation efforts
  • Strong foundation of the modern data lifecycle
  • Provide support to marketing organization on privacy and data security topics in order to enable effective campaign activation and data usage
  • Help instill and maintain a cultural focus on continuous improvement regarding privacy and data protection, including: a) refining and communicating policies and guidance on the privacy implications of HP activities, programs, and initiatives b) managing privacy-related inquiries in the organization
  • Monitor, track, and report on overall privacy and data protection program progress; streamline and improve processes as needed
  • Identify, track, mitigate, and resolve privacy risk issues


Skills and Knowledge

  • previous experience in Enterprise Data Privacy environment
  • Foundational knowledge of key privacy regulations: GDPR, CCPA plus awareness of the related landscape
  • Strong risk management orientation, ability to effectively steer the organization toward compliance while driving mission and business impact
  • Strong organization, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving to achieve goals
  • Experience in InfoSec/cybersecurity and corporate privacy programs preferred
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and have a forward-leaning attitude on addressing complex matters
  • Willingness to be agile and adaptable with evolving landscape
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills and the ability to influence in cross-functional team settings
  • Ability to digest, analyze, synthesize and problem solve various use cases across the data privacy & governance spectrum
  • Ability to interact with key stakeholders in a variety of scenarios with the right balance of assertiveness, humility & confidence
  • Keen understanding of the data lifecycle across CRM’s, data lakes and other data repositories for a wide variety of use cases
  • Strong understanding of data risk at it relates to privacy and governance

OPMB is responsible for the execution and financial reporting of the Smithsonian Institution’s appropriated and non-appropriated funds budgets. Responsibilities The Budget Analyst is responsible for the preparation and submission of Federal, Non-Appropriated (Trust), and National Campaign estimates to the Smithsonian Board of Regents, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Congress.
