OverviewWhat You’ll Be DoingThe successful candidate will utilize their extensive understanding of federal consulting and contracts as well as provide expert-level technical, programmatic, and policy insights on Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) implementation at the state, EPA Region, or utility level. This candidate will provide expert technical contributions to Cadmus’ mission-support contracts for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water and other government clients. This position will also provide technical support to state drinking water programs, particularly as it relates to determining resources needed to operate a state program. This position also works in close collaboration with other senior team members to ensure timely delivery of high-quality project deliverables to clients, which requires managing tasks, schedules, and budgets with minimal supervision and ensuring consistency and quality of all products.The candidate should be comfortable working with water and wastewater utility operators and their regulators and should have a strong familiarity with the challenges states and operators face, especially in small, rural and disadvantaged communities. The successful candidate must have good communication skills. Provide technical expertise related to the implementation of the national primary drinking water regulations, drinking water grants, state revolving funds, state drinking water programs, and other regulatory program implementation oversight activities to various projects (e.g., guidance development, training, policy analysis).

Demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment in interactions with clients and colleagues.

Lead the development of client-ready products.

Conduct effective research and analysis.

Conduct effective written and verbal communications.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant work experience

Experience with EPA or state drinking water regulatory programs

Project coordinator or management experience including budget management is desired

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing environments, and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Strong communications skills, both written and verbal

Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail

Ability to work under tight deadlines

Positive work ethic in all situations with coworkers, project managers, and clients

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.
