School Social Worker 2024-2025 School Year Washington, DC - Part-Time AnthroMed Education is a local organization that partners with schools to provide speech therapy support. We continue to support schools throughout the East Coast and are looking for Social Workers to join our team of over 140+ related service providers!AnthroMed advocates for and empowers our Social Workers by offering consistent caseload support by our Director of Clinical Support, hundreds of materials in a database, free continuing education, and the most competitive salary and benefits packages. Position Overview:Our team is currently seeking a passionate School Social Worker who wants to make an impact at a community-based school in Washington, DC for the 2024-2025 school year. This School Social Worker will support school aged kids and work alongside other School Social Workers and School Counselors in the building.Job Responsibilities:
Providesocial work services and support to school-aged children
There is a cross-categorical classroom in this building, so there is no intensive communication caseload or ED students
SSW will provide General Education support to students with other SSWs and SCs
Additional caseload details and numbers are to follow
Work with parents and children in a confidential and caring manner and assist the family, school, and community in any way required to bridge gaps between family and schools
Fulfill all the responsibilities of the IEP: timely and current progress monitoring, use of progress monitoring to guide instruction, etc.
Completecasework assessments and services and communicate them to students and their families
Assess,identify, and provide clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance, and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population
Completeclassroom observations and functional behavior assessments on identified students
Utilize student performance data as a guide for decision-making
Participatein and contributeto a school culture that focuses on improved student learning
Attendmeetings and professional development activities as required

Job Qualifications:
Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
District of Columbia Government Department of Health Social Work License
Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred
District of Columbia Certification as a School Social Worker
