As a Weekend Associate Producer on the White House team, you will be a critical part of the NBC News team covering the President. In this highly collaborative job, you will work closely with the White House Unit Correspondents, Coordinating Producer, and other White House Producers. The Weekend AP will spend their time working between the Washington DC Bureau, White House Booth, and have travel responsibilities. You should be willing to work flexible, sometimes not typical working hours. You will also spend time logging daily events and briefings, working with our correspondents in the White House Booth and on the road, and supporting the daily workflow of the team.  Job Duties:  Collaborating and supporting the White House Producer team in coordinating the gathering and feeding of news materials relating to the PresidentLog Presidential events, White House Briefings, and other administration-related events and background calls during their shifts Field produce White House Correspondents in DC and other locations outside the White House, as necessary Assist in breaking news & on-going story coverage, including through reporting and internet research Work with correspondents in the NBC White House Booth to prepare for live, taped and written reports for all NBC News Group platforms Utilize a variety of logging platforms, such as Otter and Media CentralManage record keeping systems of the team to organize and collect information regarding the President’s relevant activitiesPitch original story ideas for all platformsOther responsibilities may change depending on breaking news and scheduling
