Counseling and Forensic Services is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Clinical Intake Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking our clinical services. The Clinical Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for new clients, gathering essential information, coordinating the intake process, and providing administrative support to our clinical team. This entry-level, hybrid position requires excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of client confidentiality and sensitivity to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients (phone, email, in-person), providing empathetic and professional information about our services
Understand clients' mental health needs and assist clerical staff in scheduling their mental health appointments
Coordinate with therapists, clients, and referring agents to place clients in suitable groups
Explain the intake process, relevant policies, and required documentation to clients
Assist clients with intake form completion and schedule initial appointments
Coordinate client assignments and case information with clinicians
Manage court-ordered assessments and background checks
Maintain accurate client records in our EHR system and organize intake paperwork
Ensure HIPAA and company policy compliance regarding client confidentiality
Perform other duties as assigned
Must be able to work on-site or follow a hybrid schedule at our Woodbridge, Virginia office
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Rehabilitation, or a related field required
0-1 years of experience candidates are encouraged to apply
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email, calendar management)
Must pass a background check
