Resort Rooms Division Manager - Full Time- Pointe Estero Beach Resort
Progressive experience in Hotel/Resort Management including Housekeeping and Maintenance experience is required.
Please note: This position does not offer relocation assistance.
Position Overview:
Responsible for managing staff and optimizing processes, specifically within the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments, and as needed within Guest Services, overseeing work orders, special requests and efficiency/productivity outputs from the departments and ensuring superior guest service satisfaction at all times.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for effective daily operations, staff training and maintaining compliance with OSHA and other health and safety regulations.
- Responsible for development, training, mentoring, & coaching to all assigned staff.
- Participates in the property MOD program
- Oversees monthly inventory and supply requisitions for the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments
- Oversees employee scheduling, shift assignments and payroll submission for the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments (assists with Guest Services department scheduling and payroll when necessary)
- Oversees checkouts, clean and vacant rooms’ status with Guest Services and submits work order items for repairs with the Maintenance department as necessary
- Oversees and assists with room inspections for all checkouts prior to turning them into the Front Desk, to ensure that they have been cleaned and furnished according to Company SOPs.
- Oversees operational efficiencies including but not limited to: trash pick-up, HVAC repairs, pool maintenance, grounds maintenance, preventative maintenance repairs, outdoor resort grounds and fire/emergency systems
- Works together with department managers and property leadership (GM and AGM) to communicate special needs including parts, materials, special project assignments, etc. related to the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments.
- Maintains up to date and current knowledge of all maintenance trades and techniques including: basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, painting and fire/emergency alarm systems
Essential Requirements:
- Progressive experience in Hotel/Resort Management including Housekeeping and Maintenance experience is required.
- Must have a strong background in hospitality management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong organizational and leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and dedicated commitment to excellence.
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to speak effectively in a public environment
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the hotel/resort property 75% of assigned shift.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 25% of assigned shift
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations
- Flexible schedule that will include days, weekends and holidays is required.
