This position is contingent upon award of contract.This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below: International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Hematology Oncology Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for patients with blood disorders and cancers, facilitating assessments, administering treatments such as chemotherapy, and offering education and support to enhance patient well-being. This role involves closely monitoring patient responses to treatment, coordinating care, and serving as a vital link between patients and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and evaluating symptoms related to hematologic and oncologic conditions. Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments while monitoring patients for side effects, complications, and therapeutic responses. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, potential side effects, symptom management, and important lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with oncologists, hematologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, including assessments, treatment administration, and patient responses, in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards. Participate in patient navigation and support services, assisting patients with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and accessing community resources.
