This position is contingent upon award of contract.This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Hepatology Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for patients with liver diseases, facilitating assessments, administering treatments, and offering education on disease management and prevention strategies. This role involves coordinating care, monitoring patient progress, and fostering communication between patients and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive management of liver health.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with liver diseases, including obtaining medical histories and evaluating symptoms related to hepatic conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, such as antiviral therapies, while closely monitoring patient responses and potential side effects. Educate patients and their families about liver health, including disease management, dietary recommendations, and lifestyle modifications to support liver function. Collaborate with hepatologists and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, including assessments, treatment administration, and follow-up recommendations, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and healthcare regulations. Assist in monitoring laboratory results and coordinating additional diagnostic tests, providing timely follow-up on patient status and treatment efficacy.
