This position is contingent upon award of contract.This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below: International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Podiatry Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to patients with foot and ankle conditions, focusing on assessment, treatment, and patient education. This role emphasizes promoting healthy outcomes through collaboration with podiatrists and offering guidance on preventive care, managing chronic foot conditions, and post-operative care.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' medical histories, foot conditions, and overall health to provide effective care and treatment recommendations. Support podiatrists during various procedures, including surgeries and treatments, by preparing the necessary instruments and ensuring a sterile environment. Educate patients on foot care practices, preventative measures, and treatment plans to promote better health outcomes and self-management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses to treatments in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with podiatrists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring continuity of care for patients. Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for potential side effects or reactions, providing education on medication adherence as necessary. These responsibilities contribute to effective patient care and support the overall operations of an ambulatory podiatry practice.
