This position is contingent upon award of contract.This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below: International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver comprehensive care to patients across various specialties, including spinal cord injuries, telemetry, orthopedics, oncology, neurology, rehabilitation, and general surgery within a teaching and research environment. This role focuses on monitoring patient progress, administering treatments, educating patients about their conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to facilitate optimal recovery and continuity of care post-operatively. Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various specialties, including spinal cord injuries, telemetry, orthopedics, oncology, neurology, rehabilitation, and general surgery. Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress, promptly reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, post-operative care, and rehabilitation processes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Assist in diagnostic procedures and perform necessary treatments while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies. Participate in training and mentoring of nursing students and less experienced staff within a teaching and research environment.
