Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for a prominent construction company in Naples that has an immediate need for a Project Accountant. You might be our ideal candidate, if you have construction experience and are driven by a challenging work environment with many components. Primary responsibilities include prepare journal entries, job-costing, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Responsibilities include
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis for management reporting
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

3+ years of experience as an accounting (1+ years of construction)
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
Proficient in ERP systems
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
