Description Robert Half currently has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their growing team. In this role, the Staff Accountant is in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting throughout the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Naples, Florida area, at a company where effort is rewarded.Your responsibilities
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Requirements
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Strong attention to detail
3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Basic Bookkeeping experience desired
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
