Job Description: We are looking for a Readiness and Medical Solutions intern who will support our research, development, and deployment of AI technologies that enhance human performance in healthcare settings. You will be part of a team supporting state-of-the-art AI solutions for our customers. This position embraces and represents the SoarTech Core Values (Innovative, Honest, Customer Focused, Respectful, Integrity, and People) in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement AI technologies into new and existing medical systems, focusing on operational psychology and physiological sensors.
Collaborate with engineers, project leads, and program managers to achieve project goals.
Assist senior researchers in modeling and analyzing data to develop advanced medical simulation technologies.
Apply rigorous software engineering practices to ensure the reliability of AI systems.
Support the design of data pipelines and infrastructure to support medical AI systems.
Participate in integrated test sessions with industry partners, academia, and customers/sponsors.
Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for medical AI applications.
Document software design, system design, and testing processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
Proficiency in designing and implementing software components in Python, Java, and/or C.
Passion for working with AI and healthcare technologies.
Ability to analyze and solve challenging technical problems.
Experience designing and debugging systems.
Familiarity with task tracking and project management software, such as GitLab or Jira.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Software programming work experience in a similar scope, program, and/or environment.
An advanced degree in clinical psychology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
Knowledge or experience in any of the following technology areas:
Medical simulation and game development.
Physiological sensors and data fusion.
Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic.
Crisis intervention and support systems.
Multi-modal AI systems integrating vision, audio, and other inputs.
Human-agent collaboration and operational psychology.
Experience supporting development projects for defense or aerospace technology platforms.
An active Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
