If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.Job TitleSoftware ArchitectWhat does a successful Software Architect do at Fiserv?You will design, develop, evaluate, and deploy new ETL pipelines or enhancements to existing pipelines using Talend in Big Data environment. You will develop and integrate software applications using suitable development methodologies and standards, applying standard architectural patterns, considering critical performance characteristics and security measures. You will recommend strategies for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements and ensure adherence to established standards and may consult with senior managers on technology solutions.What you will do:

Perform application software development, which includes new, maintenance and support of applications and provide 24x7 production support

Translate functional requirements into technical designs

Perform end to end automation of ETL process for various datasets that are being ingested into the big data platform

Resolve customer complaints with data and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements

Work as subject matter expert for residual processing and coach less experience staff

What you will need to have:

7+ years of related IT experience including Java programming

7+ years of experience working in application development technologies, tools, methodologies as well as all functional areas in IT organization

4+ years of development experience with Talend Data Integration module

3+ years of experience with Talend Administration Center, Data Quality, API Design and Services and Big Data Frameworks

3+ years of performance tuning experience of Talend, Hive, Impala, HDFS and Oracle Exadata

3+ years of experience with database schema, object management, Structured Query Language, data modeling & architecture, and data warehouse design

3+ years of experience working with Unix/Linux, Shell script and API integration (REST)

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience

What w ould be great to have:

Good understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies such knowledge to support the needs of the business

Working knowledge of Kafka and source-code control using a tool such as GitLab

Experience with CI/CD and DevOps development using secure coding practices

Knowledge in emerging cloud technologies related to Big Data is a plus

Previous experience in Finance/Banking industry is a plus
