What part will you play?

We are looking for a motivated, driven billing professional to join our corporate Finance Operations team to support the billing team in timely accurate billings. The ideal candidate would be a proven performer in consistently driving towards best billing practices.

Hybrid role in Norcross, GA

What will you be doing?

Managing the billing team in their daily billing operations which includes daily task report processing.

Oversight and collaboration to address client billing disputes with appropriate corrective action.

Oversight and reporting of client billing metrics to ensure intercompany SLA’s are met.

Review and approve all credit requests to ensure policy adherence.

Participate in Billing associate new hire training which includes ongoing development of training tools to support any process changes and updates.

Participate in intercompany training sessions as requested to share billing processes with teams outside of the Finance Operations arena. I.E. Sales, Project Management Operations, etc.

Monitor and report on billing team metrics.

Prepare and update billing team SOPs as necessary to support current activity.

Assist billing associates as necessary to support client specific request to ensure company policy adherence.

Collaborate with other Finance Operations teams to ensure continuity in process execution / handoff between teams.

Collaborate with other Diversified teams to resolve escalated client invoice disputes.

Collaborate with Credit & Collections team as needed to address aged invoices.

Provide support and mentorship to direct reports to ensure billing best practices.

Execute and assist in complex research to help resolve billing issues.

Participate in and support financial audits as requested.

Conduct 1:1 associate touch base meetings with all direct report billing associates via an established cadence.

Maintain appropriate reporting documentation to execute associate reviews as required.

Support ERP and technology upgrade projects related to the billing task as required.

Other responsibilities as defined by the Director, Billing.

What do we require from you?

Bachelor’s degree (in Accounting or Finance) or equivalent professional experience

5+ years' experience in client billing/invoicing

3+ years' experience in a manager role supporting a team up 9+ associates

Adherence to laws and best practices in regard to dealing with customers and data electronically

Proficient in use of Outlook and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) applications

Preferred:

SME in the area of AIA billing and/or client Portal

Previous experience in Microsoft D365 and/or Oracle NetSuite ERP platforms

Experience in the use and development of SmartSheet application

Strong customer service and communication skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to read and interpret contractual documents.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Ability to handle multiple demands and meet deadlines.

Ability to organize tasks and time to ensure timely completion of all projects.

Physical Working Environment:

At minimum, 2 weeks in office training followed by a hybrid schedule to be coordinated with Director of Billing
